In certain cases, the funding for a resident may change multiple times, such as moving from private funding to local authority funding and back to private funding again. Instead of creating a duplicate fee payer profile each time, you can restart the fee payer’s contribution. This allows you to maintain the same fee payer profile, making it easier to manage and track funding changes.
Steps to restart a fee payers contribution
To restart a fee payer’s contribution, you will need to know the date they will begin funding again and the new weekly contribution amount
- Navigate to the Resident Profile
- Select the Billing Tab
- Select the Fee Payers Tab
- Locate the Fee Payer whose contribution you wish to restart
- Select the three-dot menu next to the relevant Fee Payer and click Manage Contribution.
- Select ‘Restart Contribution’
- Populate the new weekly contributions and the date the fee payer will restart funding the resident
- You can select a date in the past, present, or future.
- Select Restart Contribution
Once the contribution has been restarted, you will need to set up a corresponding schedule for the fee payer. It’s important to action this as the previous schedule the fee payer was previously on will not restart.
This schedule will ensure that invoices are generated for the care fees moving forward, reflecting the new contribution.
