Refunding a billable extra

In scenarios where a billable extra needs to be refunded, either due to an error or at the request of a resident, you can process a refund for any billable extra that has been associated with a financial document and has the status Complete.


Refunding a billable extra

To refund a billable extra:

  1. Navigate to the Resident Profile.

  2. Go to the Billing tab.

  3. Select the Billable Extras tab.

  4. Locate the billable extra you wish to refund.

  5. Click the three-dot menu and select Refund.

  6. Confirm the refund by clicking “Yes, proceed.”

What happens next?

  • A new billable extra will be created with the same details as the original, but the amount will be shown as a negative value to reflect the refund.

  • This negative-value billable extra will be available for association with a future invoice or credit note.

  • The original billable extras’ status will update from Complete to Refunded.
