The Found product allows you to associate a Funding Type with each enquiry and resident booking to help you better understand how the resident's care is being funded or will be funded.

Funding type definitions

Funding typeDescription
PrivateThe individual (or their family) pays the full cost of care without any financial support from the government or NHS.
Local Authority The local council assesses the individual’s needs and finances, and covers the full or partial cost of care based on eligibility.
Local Authority with Top-UpThe local council contributes a standard amount toward care costs, but a third party (usually a family member) pays an additional “top-up” for more expensive care.
NHSThe NHS fully funds the care under schemes such as Continuing Healthcare (CHC) for individuals with complex medical needs.

Capturing funding type during the enquiry stage

You can associate a Funding Type with an enquiry, which will automatically carry over to the resident profile if the enquiry converts.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Enquiry Profile.
  2. Select the Funding tab.
  3. Choose the Funding Type from the dropdown menu.

Top tip: If you’ve discussed funding with the care seeker but the type is still unconfirmed, select “Unknown” instead of leaving the field blank. This helps track that the data point has been attempted to be collected but not secured, and can be updated later.

Associating a funding type with a booking

Each booking can have a Funding Type attached to show how that specific stay is being funded.

Steps:

  1. Go to the Resident Profile.
  2. Select the Booking tab.
  3. Click the Fee Payer tab.
  4. In the top-right corner, locate the Funding Type dropdown.
  5. Select the appropriate Funding Type from the list.
